Green hydrogen production is receiving a lot of attention as a key element for the transition from fossil based economy to sustainable economy. Experiments are ongoing to improve the efficiency of the water electrolysis.

SCRT has submitted its technical proposal for the first public tender for the production of Green Energy in the Piemonte (Hydrogen Valley).

In parallel, feasibility studies are conducted to produce Blue hydrogen, i.e. recovering hydrogen from routine gas flaring without addition of CO₂ and other waste gases into the atmosphere.
